Hello, again.
Since my last post, life has been so busy! And that’s underselling it, really.
// Fall
Joe was busy with football season, and I was busy with travel and so. many. meetings. at work. We barely had a break to ourselves. But we still managed to get to a pumpkin patch, go shooting in the mountains on election day (I mean, what else do you go do after you vote??) and get a few walks in with Lily before it got too cold outside.
// The Holidays
We traveled back to Illinois THREE times in November and December! Once for Joe’s brother’s engagement party, and then for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We basically lived out of suitcases. We also got a few ski days in, which is always a treat in Colorado!
// January Was … Eventful. Case in point:
January 7: we started a new semester at school.
January 19-21: we celebrated our 1 year anniversary with a little trip to Grand Lake. We stayed in the most adorable and cozy little cabin, with just a 2 block walk to the lake.
January 26: Joe proposed!!! Separate blog post to come soon.
January 30: we found out we are pregnant! Oh boy. Or girl! Another post on that soon too…
// February
Filled with extreme nausea, exhaustion, headaches, and the decision to plan a wedding in 7 weeks. Oh, and hiking in heels to get some beautiful engagement photos taken. A tiny little sneak peek, but more to come later…
// March
In which my cousin threw me a bachelorette party and bridal shower, Joe and I drove to Illinois for the wedding week, Joe’s mom threw us another shower, and then…we got married!!! Separate blog post for that one as well :)
And that’s been life!
Now that we’re settling into being married, life is slowing down a bit (hallelujah). Our weekends are filled with catching up on sleep, and slowly Marie-Kondo-ing our tiny apartment with our new wedding gifts, and cute baby stuff!
