Canada 5.30.18 - 6.7.18
O Canada! Our home and native land! (At least for 9 days...)
For almost a decade, Joe has been going up to Pine Sunset Lodge at Lake Dinorwic in Ontario, to fish with his brothers. Sometimes he stays a week, sometimes he stays 6 weeks. It's where he's happiest and most content with life: out on a boat in Canada, catching all the fish his heart desires.
This year, guess who got an invite? LILY! Oh, and me ;)
Before we took off for the Canadian fishing adventure, Joe got a new look!
So basically I'm dating a new man now...ha!
And with my new man, we started the 2 day drive up to Pine Sunset!
Weirdly, Joe and I are quite fond of road trips. We get excited to have everything all packed up, yummy snacks in the cooler, a good playlist (plus, a full listening to the Hamilton soundtrack), and games to entertain us.
Lily, on the other hand, is indifferent. She loves getting in the car, but once it gets going, she regrets getting in. She'll get used to it one day though, right?!
Finally...we were at the lake, and ready to fish!
Lily and I definitely fell in love with Canada, and with fishing. We hope to return again next year, although Lily might not wish for the road trip part.
