Lake Isabelle 7.27.16
After a grueling 3 weeks in the midwest humidity, I'm back in Colorado (hallelujah). I made sure to get into the mountains as quick as I possibly could. And this new spot I ventured out to did not disappoint. 5 miles out, 5 miles back, 3 lakes, a few waterfalls and rushing streams, blisters on my feet, and a wicked sunburn on my arms. Exhaustion hit me towards the end, but flipping back through the pictures, I don't regret a single step of this long and gorgeous hike.
FINALLY made it it Lake Isabelle. She was the grand prize of the hike. Time to go explore it...
At the very end of the lake was the perfect rock to sit on, eat lunch, and feel at peace. This was the quiet lunch time view with a rushing stream just to the left:
Until the next adventure...

p.s. Absolutely no filters were used on any of these photos because who on earth would ever put a filter on Colorado? :)
