Napa Valley 2.17.17 - 2.20.17

President's Day Weekend was meant for sneaking away to somewhere new.

This year, it was Napa County! I've never been to California EVER! So I just wanted to soak in the sights and drink copious amounts of wine. Both were accomplished. :)

But first, I'm going to share how I got there. Because I think this story is hilarious and epitomizes the relationship I have with my incredible parents.

My mom had a work conference in San Diego the weekend after President's Day. She thought it would be a fun idea to do a family trip to Napa over President's Day Weekend, and then my brother, his wife, and I will go back to our homes and she and my father will take a romantic drive down the California coast from Napa to San Diego. Well, turns out, my brother and his new wife were going on their honeymoon to Japan at that time. So the plan was scrapped.

Then my father jumps in with a "Hey, wait. So it's just mom and I in Napa? But she rarely drinks wine..." Cue ME. I mean, I was already going to be the 5th wheel, so why not just be the 3rd wheel?? :)

So, off I went. To interrupt Mom and Dad's romantic Napa weekend.
